April Showers Bring May Flowers
Monday, April 02, 2007NOWCAST - As skies clear tonight overnight lows will be in the 20's in the outlying areas and freezing in other city locations. A hard freeze just about everywhere. A few scattered snow showers fell at the higher Clark County locations Monday and 1-2 inches of snow fell early this morning around Everett thanks to the PSCZ. Tuesday will see slowly rising temperatures into the 60's with some clouds late in the day and a risk of showers early Wednesday. Other than that mostly dry all week. Click side panel for the latest forecast. I'll report some local March rainfall reports later in the week so stay tuned!
OUTCAST - There has sure been a lot of severe weather this past week around the nation with numerous severe tornadoes, drenching rains, and cold thunderstorms. It looks like a very active season for thunderstorms and tornadoes with over 50 fatalities already.
Judge OKs global warming suit against government- This is the most bizarre thing I have heard of lately. A federal judge cited Oscar Gore's film as evidence of man caused global warming and has allowed a lawsuit against the US Government. Better watch out folks, it has only begun. Read Here.
The latest release from the IPCC junket will show that in 25 years or so, by 2030 the entire snow and ice will be gone from the Himalayas. Give me a break. Do you know what would have to occur to make this happen? It is over the hill folks.
Global Warming and droughts and famine - No worry folks, the answer will to be to eat more leaf protein and insects in our diets. Yep, no problem so don't worry about it. Read this.
Remember the acid rain episode we went through decades ago? Alpine firs growing for centuries high in the Sierras were dying from the fallout and experts said they would be extinct before the end of the 20th century. Well, I understand they are still surviving along the timberline and appear to be doing quite well. We survived that round and the so called cool down forecast back in the 60's and 70's. And guess what? We will survive global warming as well. Can anyone really predict the world climate decades from now? Better get the weather forecast down first. Do your thing to be a good steward of the planet but don't let the environmentalists and left wing liberals scare you. Yes, there is a price to pay for polluting, but there is a price to pay for spreading extremism, scare tactics, and speculation as well.
John Travolta mentioned that global warming is a great concern but he said recently on a tour overseas discussing the issue, "I may not be the best person to ask as I fly jets." He said that perhaps the solution is outer space and dome cities on other planets. The photo here shows two of his five planes parked at his home in Florida. It must be tough John. He carries a lot of weight in what he says due to his high profile and popularity. Must be his large carbon footprint.
