Three Weeks Down, One To Go!
Monday, April 23, 2007NOWCAST - Another shot of those April Showers Tuesday then the rest of the week and into the weekend looks like fair and mostly dry weather. Highs will rebound Wednesday and run 65-70 degrees all week. Perhaps close to 80 over the weekend! All in all, not much to write home about.
OUTCAST - And the global warming beat goes on and on. You by now heard of Sheryl Crow's suggestion to help save our forest and reduce greenhouse gases. Only use ONE sheet of toilet paper when using the bathroom. Ha! She was quoted as saying, "Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating. One of my favorites is in the area of forest conservation which we heavily rely on for oxygen. I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required. When presenting this idea to my younger brother, who's judgment I trust implicitly, he proposed taking it one step further. I believe his quote was, "how bout just washing the one square out."
I won't even begin to comment on this as I think it speaks for itself. I know after this remark today all kinds of bathroom humor are flying off the walls. It just goes to show you that some of these liberals are full of something. Now the price of TP will go up because some politician will launch some new TP tax. Soak up the sun while it is still free. Oops, I made a three-ply remark!
After all the snow and cold recently in new York, the past few days have been sunny and warm and the NWS issued a Red Flag warning on Monday. One extreme to the other!
