Funnel cloud photo taken Thursday afternoon near Salem by Greg Russell and submitted to Matt Zaffino, KGW TV
NOWCAST- Rather quiet and easy forecast coming up. Northerly flow with some fog, some clouds, some sun and much cooler with freezing temperatures overnight if we get any clearing. Chance of some easterly winds at times and a few light showers possible as weak weather systems drift southward from BC. Snow levels will be very low if we do get precipitation causing some snow on hilltops. This will continue for 5-7 days. No big wind storms or floods in the near future. Sigh.
OUTCAST - The photos you see were taken by Steve Pierce of Vancouver. He drove to the coast and south from Seaside to Lincoln City today to view the aftermath of the big storms. Thanks for sharing Steve!Top- Highway 26 just east of Seaside Cannon Beach Junction.
Second - Bay City where 129 mph wind gust was reported.
Third - Highway 26 "blast zone"
Bottom- Muddy pavement at Tillamook
